I was surprised to learn that people didn’t suffer from low iron until aluminum cookware was in wide use. One-a-Day Plus Iron came out afterward.

I keep building up my “inventory” of potentially laserable things that I never get around to lasering… ordered.
Also, an experience I have way too often on Amazon, because I buy weird stuff but don’t indulge in recreational pharmaceuticals… reading through the reviews and suddenly realizing what most people are buying these for. Like the time I wanted a vacuum chamber and was surprised by how many of them there are with thousands and thousands of reviews… seems like an esoteric item, but apparently degassing resin is really popula… ohhhh!

Wow, I love that! Must make something like it for a friend w/new meds regime.
When I used to donate plasma to earn money in college I had “iron poor blood”. Staff recommended Geritol, but it was high in alcohol (probably why it was so popular); I didn’t drink then, so I just stuck to iron pills. To this day I have low iron even post-menopause.
Half a dose/day keeps me feeling right and prevents the excess from getting flushed.

I always have too low of iron to donate blood. I keep forgetting to take iron, so this is a good reminder for me!
