Getting errors when uploading .svg files

Suddenly today everything is coming up with errors when trying to upload new .svg files. They aren’t from the same location or designer. Please help!

What errors are you seeing?

It tells me I have an error and I should check back later. Before it said to check if my browser was up to date and it was Chrome, latest version.

Can you open the files in Inkscape and then save as a Plain SVG or convert to pdf?

Try clearing your browser’s cache.

Yes but same problem.

@nancyrich9781 I’m so sorry you are getting errors when you are trying to upload SVG files.

We need a bit more information to investigate.

  • Can you please post the file you are having trouble with so we can take a look?
  • Information about the browser you are using.
  • A screenshot of the error you are getting.

Please do the following:

  1. Go to https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
  2. Look for the header that says “Your web browser’s unique URL”
  3. Click the button that says “Copy URL to Clipboard”
  4. Reply to this, and paste in the link provided

If possible, could you please send me a screenshot of what you see in the Glowforge app when this happens? Make sure to include the rulers in your screenshot and show as much of the bed as possible

To take a screenshot:

  • Mac: Press Shift-Command-4 and click and drag a box around your image. You’ll find the screenshot file saved on your desktop.

  • Windows: Click on the Start Menu and type “snipping tool”. Open the Snipping Tool > New then click and drag a box around your image. Click the Save icon and name and save your file.

This will help us understand the circumstances around your error so we can work on it for you.

Hello @nancyrich9781

It’s been a little while since I’ve heard back from you. I hope that’s because everything worked out! If not, just let us know and get back to us with that info my colleague David requested.

I managed to figure it out thanks!

well what was the problem in case somebody else has the same thing happen?

I’m glad to hear you’re all set now, that’s great! I’m going to go ahead and close this topic.
