Ghost in the machine?

Curious fault condition, just started.
I cut a file successfully about an hour ago in Draftboard. Now, if a load a file I drew afterwards, while it loads, and I set up the conditions to cut, it loads onto the GUI, but then I can’t select the image to move it, nor do anything else with it.
The Zoom level control doesn’t work, nor if I switch to ‘Pan’, that doesn’t respond either.
I tried loading an earlier file from “My Designs” and everything behaves perfectly.
I then extracted the part I wanted from the inkscape file, and created a new file, renaming it in the process. If I now load that, the drawing doesn’t appear at all !

I’ve turned everything off, rebooted both pc and GF, but the behavior is the same.
Old files in my pc upload, and all screen behavior is normal. New file isn’t !!!
I’ll try creating a completely new drawing, and see if that has the same problem.
EDIT - no that works, so I’ll start re-creating what I need !
EDIT 2 I think I have part answer - the last image turned out to be ~17,000inches wide ? So going to have a strong drink, and start again.

All is once again ‘normal’ in the Fanmaker’s workshop !

How about Artifantasy or even Artifan2see as a trade name ?
Sorry, but I did enjoy the drink - 1 Bacardi + 1 blackcurrant syrup + 1 tonic water
= Half Nelson (My birthday is on Trafalgar Day!)

Not sure that’s going to end up on the list of solutions to common issues, but if it works for you…

Believe me, you can always control an errant machine with a Half-Nelson :upside_down_face:
