My glow forge is having an interesting problem that I have yet to find on any forum right now.
I turn on my glow forge and the laser begins and activates as the head moves to the center the laser is cutting continuously until it reaches home.
I’ve tried resetting the glow forge, cleaning out all the fans, checked the boards for any damages and nothing. I’m not sure if there’s a short that is causing the laser to turn on and be an in always on state.
So sorry you are dealing with that - kinda sounds scary! While I agree that a video would be interesting, please do not risk making one just to show us! I hope support can easily check the logs and see what is going on and advise you from there! (You probably already know that they don’t monitor this forum, and you have to reach out to them by phone, chat or email.)

ONLY if you have a fire-extinguisher handy! Or a wet rag…
Opening the lid should immediately halt all printing and home the head, but that’s on a normally-operating machine. In the words of the famous introduction of Boo in To Kill a Mockingbird, yours “ain’t right!”
(In this scenario, if I was going to be crazy and catch a video, I’d power up with the lid closed and power off before opening it… but it is definitely wiser to leave it alone until support says to try something!)
