Glowforge app design canvas

I’m making something simple and want to try to do it with just the glowforge design app, however the canvas is awful when it has that image of the bottom of the machine in the background. My machine is off, and actually I’m not even home right now. I find little value when designing in having the bottom of the machine in the background when trying to design something. Is there a way to have a solid white background? Then I can turn on my machine when I’m ready and put my material in it and reposition if necessary.

If you had a full-sized piece of your material when you last opened the machine, that will be what you will see until the next time you open your machine.

Workaround, maybe, a bit technical to set up, and I don’t know if it still works.

Or, just make it off to the side, then move it onto the printable area of the bed when you’re ready to print…

If you have an Aura, Spark, or one of the newer HD machines, you can click on the eye button in the upper left hand corner and that will toggle a white background. Not available for older performance machines unfortunately.

That makes no sense, that’s a function of the user interface, not the machine itself.

I can’t disagree, but it is what it is.
