I am new to Glowforge and haven’t had mine very long. I turned my Glowforge on today and it has been stuck on “centering” for about half an hour. I am not sure what to try to fix this!
You might want to turn it off and then move the head directly under the camera. Then turn it back on. Good luck.

Thanks! I saw that suggestion on another post and the result was that after turning it on, the head moved to the bottom right and paused for a bit. A few seconds later it forced itself into the front of the machine!
