first my glowforge stopped cutting all the way through. After sending multiple photos and getting requests for more and then more, it stopped working altogether. Now the issue is syncing the internet. I heve had multiple requests to do the same things over and over and over. So I get that they are not sure I am doing it right. My husband even tried to do it 3 times because I was so frustrated. So I finally figured the next step would be different. Instead I was asked to film myself trying to connect to the internet. I was mad, woo. Anyway, has anyone had a similar experience? Not being mad, but the glowforge slowly stop working and loosing the ability to sync?
Nothing can be diagnosed (cutting failure) until you are once again connected to the internet. I assume support has had you unplug you router, your Glowforge and shut down your computer. Then start your modem/router and let it fully boot, then turn on your Glowforge, then start your computer. When you hold down the print button until it flashes teal, how far do you get in the setup?
I don’t get far. Nothing farther than the teal button. I am planning on trying again and again I put a new router in the same room as the glowforge. We flushed the connection . Is there anything else I can try.

Have you tried using your phone as a wifi hotspot? That’s a quick and simple way to diagnose.
If this occurred after the machine quit cutting anyway, it’s going to need to be replaced. If it still fails to connect to your phone, it could possibly be the main control board has faults.
The teal button is on and you have gone to setup.glowforge.com. Do you see that the Glowforge is broadcasting a signal? Do you get that far in the setup?
I did try. It did not work with the phone either. I used a hotspot for years to get an iPad working. So I was familiar with that too. Each time we didn’t get synced we read something else to do in google but it was going round in circles. I thought that would save the day.
I tried a hotspot to the glowforge and no go. I did hot spot with other things and no problem. It worked on my iPad and computer(to make a hot spot ).
The glowforge did cast a signal enough to connect the computer to it but it would lose it in next steps.
The next step is to connect your computer back to your home wifi.
Specifically, the GF turns off it’s broadcast signal as soon as you tell it which wifi it should use to connect to the internet. The GF itself is not a router, it never provides internet connectivity. You only connect to it for the purpose of directing it to your existing internet-connected wifi.
But you have already had your machine connected and working, so that much should be apparent…
My computer is connected to the WiFi. It’s the glowforge that disconnects.

Yep. I do get that. My computer stays chi connected . It’s the laser that does not stay connected to do anything.
