I set the black scallop in this file to be engraved, but instead of engraving it the Glowforge just does a back and forth motion without doing anything else. However, it engraves the words just fine. How do I fix this?

That scalloped frame consists of multiple vector engraves overlaid on top of each other. When that happens they cancel each other out, and nothing happens.
