It’s a pretty common tactic in retail. Most store sales are “up to” some large percentage off. But in reality there might be 1 item at that high percentage savings with almost everything else regular price or a much smaller savings. Heck, even 0 is “up to” any other number

I think a big part of the 2x speed lies in the hotter “Full Power” that is basically 100 in the basic but more in the plus and more still in the pro. So all are the same power as the others from 0-100 so the numbers correlate but full is different in the different machines. That means that at full power you get the same effect going faster no matter if Cut or Engrave or other.
They dropped the higher power in the Plus about two years ago, switched to the 40W rating.
Well it does say a “top” engraving speed up to 2x fast as basic.
