Hello. I have been trying to print using my glow forge for 2 days and I haven’t had any luck. It stops immediately when the start (glow) button is pressed. It says to press it again but nothing happens.
Has this happened to someone else? Would someone be willing to help me get over this hurdle? I have an event coming up next month and was trying to get a start on things.
Wow, that’s definitely frustrating! To help get you sorted a little more info would be helpful.
Your machine is on, material loaded, design is prepped in the app, you’ve pressed the Print icon in the app, and the button is glowing. Exactly what happens when you press it? Does the fan spin up? Does the head move at all? Nothing at all?
What exactly is the message you get in the app? A screenshot of the error might be helpful.
If you haven’t already done so, I’d definitely give Support a call.
In the meantime, I’d be interested if the manual focus feature works. Click the square icon with a dot to the left of the start icon, point to a place in the center of your design, and click. The head should move to that location, fire the red-dot focus laser and return to home. This operation exercises the motion and control commands and would tell you a bit more where the problem might be.
