Not really a fair test (although pretty amusing). The washer wasn’t sitting on its feet - it was balanced on a couple of 2X wood stock it looks like. That puts it off its designed support mechanism. Shaking/vibrations that would have been transmitted through the feet to the floor end up with nowhere to go.
Similar to what would happen to your car if you took the engine mounts out and left it supported only by the transmission.
