My glowforge is having a new issue where it will prepare the print, let me start the print, and go about the motions as usual…until the laser is supposed to be active. It will not engrave or cut at all right now, and the fan seems to be turning on and off throughout the entire process. It also makes a loud weird clicking noise. It’s acting super funky and I have been canceling the prints when it starts to act up because it feels like something bad is going to happen. I spoke to support earlier but no luck yet, I checked the printer head mirror and it seemed fine, I don’t see any visible issues on the laser tube, and the printer head is moving like usual for the most part. Would greatly appreciate any advice/tips on what might be going on! Thanks so much.
From the symptoms you describe, it sounds like either the tube or power supply has failed. You’ll need to just follow whatever guidance GF support offers.
