Glowforge stuck on Scanning for over 5 minutes

So I engraved a logo on some wood yesterday no issues. Now I am engraving another paddle, and the scanning is stuck for over 5 minutes. The when I cancel, it takes another 5 minutes to cancel the job.
Please help.

I’m having problems focusing, I’ve seen that others are having probkems scann & focusing too, even cuts are taking longer than usual for some.

This is the downside of cloud based software and is one of many drawbacks of the GF.

Try closing your browser and shutting your Glowforge down…then try starting all over. Sometimes that will clear things up.

I’ve tried that several times. i’ve even restarted my Wifi 5 times. I’ve been having this issue for 6 hours and I’m aware others are too

I am having the same issues! Very frustrated - please let me know if you have any solutions at some point. I am hoping it’s a temporary issue for all of us!

Same thing here, though I’ve been having issues with the “camera not taking a picture” and “An error has occurred” for a few weeks now. I changed out the black and white lid cable and still the same. It sounds like numerous people are having really bad issues with it getting stuck. Atleast previously I was able to work around the error and still cut but now its not even cutting properly once I finally get that far.

So just to be clear, I have the original Glowforge Plus. Yesterday it took about 1 minute to scan and be ready to print and today it took almost 15 minutes which is strange.

I’ve created a support ticket yesterday but I am not aware of a way to contact them off hours unless you do?

Same here, this is all over FB pages and all having the same problem. this need to be fixed asap

Google Cloud is experiencing a partial outage. Our team is actively working with them to remedy the issue.

If you are experiencing error messages during focusing, please retry the print. You can also use “Set focus” in the “…” menu before printing to ensure focus is set before starting a print. You may also experience focus operations taking up to 5 minutes.

That’s just poor customer service. Providers of cloud based services should have a contingency at all times.

Time to look at other optoins, which are not cloud based.

I can not even get my GF to focus. so what is the work around for me when I have work. If what I am reading is true and there Techs will not be looking at it until monday (PDT), that’s costed me 3 days of production as im in the UK.

Hopefully, measures are put in place to protect us in the future, light allowed us to use light burn

Agree, extremely poor customer service. I work full-time during the week, so weekends are when I primarily get my laser work done. This is also a holiday weekend here in the US, Monday is our Labor Day holiday, so it could be Tuesday before this is addressed. Dead in the water for using my laser until this is fixed, just ridiculous.

I didnt know it was a holiday coming up. so I could be loosing 4 days :rage:
