Glowforge Wet When Opening New Delivery

So I just opened my refurbished replacement Glowforge and it was quite wet inside the plastic around the machine. The box looked totally fine on the outside, but when it came time to take the machine out of the box I realized that the plastic around it is very wet. The lid of the Glowforge is also quite wet. When I looked it up, it said this likely indicates a leak during shipping and the machine should not be set up. Seems like it might be a leak in the coolant system. I just emailed support as well but was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue or knows what I should do? Thanks so much

It is a common issue with shippers that “fragille” and “this side up” are unknown concepts. The usual reponse is to send yours back and get a new one in return. Your experience may vary. Given the season, leaving the box in sub-zero weather could have the same effect.

The typical actions would be to contact support like you did and have a another machine sent. I have read in the forum of people mixing “unicorn tears,” the magic coolant formula, and adding it to the coolant reservoir to avoid the hassle of going through another machine.

What the reason was that the unicorn tears went is a key thing to learn. If exposed overnight in sub-zero weather or just rolled end over end across the floor. (I have watched mine delivered that way)
