Grinding Noise

I took my air assist off to clean it, it needed it badly, but now my GF isn’t working correctly, it’s making a grinding noise when in the homing function and the laser won’t move, but it glides just fine before then. I wish I never cleaned it, can someone please help me?
The belt is snug, the laser glides just fine manually, the belt teeth are in the correct position, I think, Facing outward correct? So it fits into the notches of the metal clamp.
I don’t know what else to do and I cannot afford to send this back in.

I believe the belt teeth are supposed to point inward. You might want to take and post a few photos of your setup, it definitely sounds like something isn’t right.
