I have a lot of posts in the community about cotton fabric (such as denim). Cotton based fabric do wash out a bit and it does effect the fabric and will cause it to fall apart easier. I mainly do polyester fabrics now. There are great polyester options that have a denim vibe. Here is an engraved polyester suede jacket I did and it does not wash out or anything:

This was before they changed the whole description of speed and power, but it does show how to test.
