Has anyone tried engraving EVA foam?

I’ve seen a few projects where people used there glowforge to cut EVA foam but I haven’t been able to find if anyone has tried engraving it.

I recently built a new pc for gaming and have been using a piece of scrap EVA foam for a wrist rest for months now. It was really bothering me so I decided to make something a bit more appealing from some other scrap I had laying around. I mocked this up in fusion360 to be 2 pieces, one EVA and the other maple, both at a height of 10mm. Hi. I cut and engrave EVA foam all the time. Its leaves a big mess inside your vent hose and i recommend you wipe your machine of the ash from the foam. You can also rinse off the foam piece after its done engraving under water to get off the extra ash.
