It’s been a long time since I’ve been on this forum, and sadly I’m back here because our Glowforge may be kaput :’(
The head moves, but no power from the laser.
We’ve contacted support, and we’re watching various videos people have posted about trying to repair this issue. But I wanted to seek advice here too.
Are we going to have luck with Glowforge support?
Is repairing this viable?
Should I start researching new lasers?

Research anyway but here’s what’s mostly up around here:
Seems GF headquarters is moving for various reasons. Manufacturing is moving around too. (Edit: oops, wrong way round) -Grass wire- Wiregrass is a company that is an official partner for direct repairs on GF machines. There’s a few support threads with people posting their experience with them and it seems fairly positive.
But unless you have loads of important things in the gf dashboard you can’t get out, there’s lots of competition in the space now that reminds me of all the advantages Intel wasted in the late 90s-00s.
Contact Wiregrass. I believe that is the only realistic option.
