So the new materials (specifically the laser safe vinyl) has led to a lot of new Designs in the Gallery. But I’m not interested in those, and there are a TON of them. It would be great to be able to filter out designs based on the core materials they use. This works both ways and would help people looking for any projects limited to the materials they have and/or are interested in. It can be a filter just like the existing filters on the side of the page.

Currently you can select all the options except “Graphics” and get that - but the sorting is fubar. Send your request to the Discord or to support@glowforge.com since the staff no longer actively monitors this forum - the more people who request it the more likely it’ll happen!

Thanks, that helps in the meantime. I didn’t realize they were stopping the forums. That’s sad, but I’ll go check out the discord and/or email them. Discord is just such a different kind of discussion area.

The forums aren’t going away, only tech support left…about a year ago. When they started using chat and then phone support. Now Discord has an even faster response rate than chat.

Hi @stephen1 and @deirdrebeth ! I’m Emily, the Head of Customer Innovation/Community Manager here at Glowforge! I’m the one in the Discord and I’m checking the forums as well, so I have been taking community suggestions and feedback, so I definitely have passed along suggestions of better ways to filter designs based on materials, so appreciate you sending this along (I’ve added that more people have plus 1 this idea).
