How do I make my acrylic visible?

Hi ladies and gents! I made an acrylic ornament in memory of my mom. This is my first ornament so please don’t be too hard on me. My question is how can i make it more visible? I have to turn it a certain way in order to really see her face. Is there anything I can do? Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Yes, paint the engraved areas before removing the masking.

I have created dozens of pieces where I did that, on both clear and frosted acrylic. Works just as well on wood also.

thank you so much!

No problem. Unpainted engraves look good when using edge-lighting, but otherwise they are not easy to see.

What’s edge lighting? Don’t judge me! lol!!

Random pic off web:

The bases come in all shapes and sizes, some with remotes as-shown to set a color or even cycle thru colors.

Are you using proofgrade acrylic? If not, one other possibility is that your acrylic is extruded.

In short: cast acrylic engraves are much more visible.
