How do i save cuts

how do i save works? for example i am making ornaments with an engraved section and a cut out for string and a cut out for the ornament itself but i dont see a way to save its size and and all pieces.

Are you working in a design program like Inkscape or Illustrator?

Are you just working with shapes in the user interface of the Glowforge and are adding art to it?

The changes you make will save automatically. What you might want to do is open a copy of the design if you are going to make other changes in the user interface. That way the original design will remain unchanged.

That option is made visible if you click on the arrow to the upper right of the Open button.

You want to make all design changes in your design application. The Glowforge app will usually save your job as-is. But I wouldn’t count on that. Best to do all of your design changes in your design app .

Thanks for the answers, everyone! That is correct. When you edit a design on your Workspace, the changes are automatically saved as you make them. That means that if you close your browser, navigate to another page, or just hit refresh, your work will pick up right where you left off.

Should you make a change by mistake, you can use undo any time until you leave or refresh the page. If you want a clean start, you can always go to your dashboard and click the upload button to upload the file again. If you got the design from the catalog, then you can start fresh by opening the design, clicking on the three-dot icon, and choosing “Reset Design” to remove all changes.

Please let me know if this helps!
