I have the glowforge basic and am borrowing a glowforge pro (they are in different locations). I don’t know how to add the machine in the design workspace. I tried to connect the glowforge to the wifi network like it was suggested in setup but it was not showing up.

Welcome to the forum.
The machine that you are borrowing must have you as its owner, or at least an authorized user. Who owns the borrowed Glowforge?
