How to Cut on Foam Board

Dollar tree foam board settings?

I’ve searched a bit and found a few threads about using the foam board, but I haven’t found a proven set of settings. Has anyone had success with cutting the foam board and not over melting it? If yes, would anyone share the settings?

GF Newbie & Foam Board

Hi everyone, New here (UK based). Got my GF Friday morning, I was so excited jumping up and down that the Fedex man told me I need to get out more lol. Anyhoo, I’m looking cut some foam board as a protective holder for acrylic toppers and reading through the forum, I noticed foam board can be dangerous. I found one on amazon uk, it has paper backing and said its chlorine and acid free. Please is this safe to cut? Or anyone successfully bought and cut foam board in the UK please. Thanks

Foamboard testing 3/16" thick 20x30" Readi-Board

Before cutting full sheets I created a simple template to see which settings where optimal for the foam-board with minimal foam melt. I am using 3/16" thick 20x30" sheets of “Readi-Board” made by “R. L. Adams Plastics” and sold in many dollar stores for (surprise, surprise) $1 a sheet. This can be easily cut down to 20x12 sheets to fit the Glowforge giving two full sheets and a 20x6 scrap sheet that can be used for smaller parts and tests.
