Imperfect Circles

Hey everyone!

I am so excited about getting a Glowforge Aura! However, I am really bummed because I can’t get it to cut a perfect circle. I have only tried using the Light Basswood Plywood that came with my machine. I read through the owners manual and looked at the support on the Glowforge website, but haven’t been able to figure it out. My machine is band new and I think I set everything up correctly, so I really don’t know why the circles are lopsided. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Posting a picture might help. A lopsided circle is often something off with your belt. Too loose? I’m unfamiliar with the Aura, but I’m sure someone else will jump in.

Thanks for responding! I looked into the belts (they are a lot different on the Aura) but could absolutely be missing something.

More information that might be helpful if anyone can help. The circles are all messed up the exact same way. So it is doing the same exact cut on repeat thinking it is making a perfect circle. Not sure if that helps or not. I also attached a picture if that is helpful trying to show the cuts.

Again, thanks to anyone that can help me. I just so badly want to use my new machine!

Hope someone can help you! You GF support should be able to help as well, but of course it’s a weekend/holiday.
