so I got my glowforge two weeks ago and all my designs are made from procreate. Every-time I vectorize it in illustrator and move it to the glowforge app and Start cutting it, the Laser cuts a double strip leaving a small edge of plastic out for some reason

It is quite easy, when vectorizing, to end up with some hard-to-see doubled-up lines.
Go into illustrator, use the node selection tool, grab one node from the double-cut line, and move it over a bit. If there is an identical line directly underneath, that’s your problem. Hit delete and then delete again.
It could be something else, but that is normally the issue for double-cuts.
