I have had the same issue for two days now, I have followed the steps multiple times, have sent in photos and request tickets for support. I was considering purchasing another machine but am not looking into other options since no one has gotten back to me. The lack of customer service is awful!
So the error you are getting is “camera didn’t take a picture” is the only error?
how much light do you have over the unit? Have you successfully done a “print” before this?

No light at all
I’m sorry for the trouble with your Glowforge and that it’s not taking pictures with the lid camera. I see you emailed us about this, and I’ve sent you a response there, so I’m going to close this thread and we’ll continue to assist you via email.
