Never move the printhead with the machine on!
With the machine off, wipe down the arm and rails as instructed in the cleaning instructions. Square the arm as instructed when you first set up the machine.
Turn it back on. Does it home and center?

Triple this! When the power is on the motor is engaged and linked to the head, so you’re actually damaging it by dragging the head around.
I wipe of my rails before every single job - it’s overkill, but I’d rather waste a babywipe than a piece of wood.
