Hi, good afternoon, Glow forgers… : grinning:.
I have the Pro HD, the night before last I tried to do a project I found, the puppy paws birthday markers. Everything was set up and hit print, no laser . I tried again, still no laser. Yesterday I called for trouble shooting over the phone and we figured out the power wasn’t up high enough. However, after the settings were
Without seeing the design file, it’s hard to say. If you mean the three little triangles, it looks like those are set to engrave not cut - intentionally.
Can you share a screenshot of the file on the interface prior to pressing the print button? Include the side panel that shows the cut/score/engrave settings as well as the selected material.
I tried to add a pic of my cuts, but for some reason the only pic that posted is the one showing what this project should look like AFTER it is cut . All the centers of the paws and the 3 little triangle looking pieces should be part of the cut .
It is ok, I see that this is a Glowforge file so I looked at it on my Dashboard. You are correct that the triangles are supposed to cut. What material are you using?
figured it out !!
I had another piece of wood, I decided to try the cut again. I’m assuming because I’m not using the EXACT piece of proof grade material recommended for this project (asks for medium plywood, I used medium draft board) it has to be done as ‘custom’. When I tried to adjust the settings accordingly on the first cut, I didn’t allow for the system to recalculate after changing the settings .
Anyway … it worked this time.
Please feel free to tell me if I am wrong lol. I try not to make to many stupid mistakes haha
No matter what it says to use, as long as the thickness is not an issue for pieces to fit together, there is a pulldown that will list all the PG materials, and a few others.
what @rbtdanforth said…that medium draftboard should be in the pull down list. You can just find it and it will cut at those settings. If you do make a custom cut of say whiteboard, you can save that cut and use it everytime also!
