Layered spiral squares mandala

Another attempt. Designed using Inkscape. 7 layers, 8"x8", cut on medium draftboard.



Side note: before committing to cutting, I imported the DXFs into OpenSCAD to generate the 3D model to get a feel of how it would look:

So if you do want to get into color, I tried it a few different ways, using paints and cardstocks. I think they all have their pluses and minuses, but they’re really amazing once you add color.
