LED Standoffs

I’ve purchased from Outwater as well (never been to their store like @PlGHEADED). I purchased some of their standoffs for some signs at work. I knew I could make them, but saw the price and said I’d be smarter just to buy them. However, you do get what you pay for! The threads on these are formed instead of cut so they can be a little hard to thread on. But how often do you plan on taking them on-and-off?!

So many possibilities. Very cool share!

Nice job! And their choice to charge for the power supply separately from the standoffs is a definite plus too.

I found this: http://www.outwater.com/lg_display.cfm/page/C-22/catalog/2016_Master_Catalog - the prices seem fine (if they actually are available).

Yes they are I have several, but haven’t used yet. If you order heir catalog be aware - you will get a large, heavy box delivered. LOL it’s bigger than the (for those who remember) the old yellow pages directory. Several inches thick catalog (but neat stuff from full size exterior (porch) columns to all sorts of lighting, moldings, wall coverings, etc.

I have come to “almost” hate paper wasters. Physical catalogs are easier to browse, but are so passé.

I appreciate when they are available, especially for those who might want to peruse the catalog without an internet connection… like outside in the sun beyond the reach of the wifi. But yeah, some of them are ridiculously wasteful. I have finally managed get Uline to stop sending me doubles of their catalog every other month.
On the other hand, I miss the old REI mailer catalogs that had tons of stuff in them: the ones they send now are pretty but really bare of products, and essentially just send you to the website anyway.

Outwater also has a LED lit grip clamp that looks as if it is intended to be used on its own for ~$11, which is less than the cost of two of their typical LED standoffs. For bigger signs, two of these would still be less expensive than four round standoffs.

Oh yeah! Haven’t used these, but look super functional for our needs!

Now that is really cool! I like it better than the standoffs and it would be cheaper too.

I’m kinda in love with standoffs lol. These angled ones are cool for free standing plaques/signs. So many possibilities

Those would make great employee appreciation gifts.

Could do them with years with the company or donation levels or community outreach projects.

Wow, I just knew the basic ones, those you put on a wall, but they offer a lot of cool designs.

Definitely going to be ordering some standoffs in the future. They really look cool.

These are much more reasonably priced. They are getting into my price range now. :grinning:

Problem I find is that the websites can change so quickly and PDF’s are tough to search if they are just images (and not text searchable).

The pack rat in me loves to find old product catalogs and thumb through them.

Here’s another official source from Gyford- but they ain’t cheap!

Also similar, in multiple colors. The packs seem to run about $30-$40 and include a transformer plus… 2 LED parts? unclear.
