I have had my Glowforge for a year and 3 days, And I just had my first break down. The lid open indicator is on all the time and the lights on the left-hand side are not working. I have visually checked the ribbon cable and the connectors and they Appeared to be OK. I am praying that Glowforge will help me out since I’m only three days out of warranty.
Sounds like you’ll need a new black lid cable, they are pretty cheap. Support will need to diagnose first. There are plenty of threads on this already if you want to search and verify all the things they ask you to check.
If you email Support about the cable include your phone number and shipping address. It might save a couple days in the back and forth communication. Not sure why they want the phone number, but they asked for it.
