i want to do a light engrave on some clear acrylic. just some words.
You may have to experiment a bit to find the right settings for the light engrave you desire. Manually change the power settings downward from the Proofgrade clear acrylic settings and keep testing until it is as light as you wish. You may also want to experiment with the lpi setting or speed setting.

For acrylic, replace darker with deeper.
