Since I have an external GF filter, I’ll try this in .125" BB ply.
@bill.m.davis Baltic birch worked just fine! I cut the pieces out last night, then put blue painter’s tape on them to keep the “sets” of pieces together. They fit well, but need glue to stay together. I will likely paint them and upload pictures of the blocks in the next day or two.
It’s a neat project to make! Thanks.
Addendum: Well, I got stuck on one of the shapes in not recalling how they go together. I think I have it, but it’s taken a lot of time thinking and “ignoring” the task to be able to assemble the 8 pieces. Several of them are basically laid out like a “filet.” One is not so simple to assemble. I’ll get there, but I’ll have lots of practice with my sailor talk!
Thank you very much!! My daughters are going to enjoy this!!!
I know my kids have been having fun with them!
Anyone have any photos of theirs if they made them?
Pah! I finally got all of the eight pieces assembled! I cut them several weeks ago, but got frustrated with a couple of the designs not fitting together. I had taped them in their individual blocks so as not to compound my work. Finally I got the three in the back row finished. Now to give the set to some “deserving” grandchild.
