I just got mine. I appear to have a similar issue. I am still narrowing it down but it is the right side as well.
One other thing to check is whether there is light shining into the machine from above, which could be falling on the area of the bed where you are having focus issues? I’ve not experienced this myself, but you could try putting something over the glass lid to prevent incidental light from confusing the focus.
Unfortunately, it looks like your unit is experiencing an issue that we can’t resolve remotely.
The camera in the print head is intermittently having trouble taking photos.
When the photo fails, you might see an error, or it might affect focus, which can contribute to cut through issues as well as the visual print alignment.
