Machine not cutting through materials

I’m having issues with my machine not cutting through material in the top left corner. I’m using PG material & settings. I’ve done a thorough cleaning & still having issues.

That can sometimes happen if there is any warp in the material at all…are you using the honeycomb pins to pin it down flat when you can?

No, I normally use the rare earth magnets when needed. The 12x20 pg material seems to fit snug & lay flat. I will have to find the pins & give them a try. Thank you!

I swear by them…I haven’t had one (PG) fail to cut through since I started using them. (All bets are off on goofgrade materials.)

the best laser results are achieved with flat (non warping materials) in order to maintain consistent focus. Also, when cutting light materials like paper, the exhaust turbulence can kick up the material and ruin your job or at worst… catch fire. (speaking of which, I hope you all keep a small fire extinguisher in easy reach, near your machine - safety FIRST) I hope you find these useful. I used to 3d print them for my other laser cutter but occasionally , they would see the wrath of the laser …
