Make: Handmade Candy Canes

Saw this in my Make email today. I have an unhealthy obsession with candy canes, so Christmas is often my favorite time of year with regards to candy. A few years ago I discovered Logan’s Candy in Ontario, CA. (The 3rd video in the article is from Logan’s).

I don’t buy candy canes from big box stores any more. The most commercial I will buy now is King Leo (also in Southern California). But I go to Logan’s and buy candy canes every year. I’ve been lucky to get to do so the past two Christmases since we moved to Seattle. If you are in Southern California, go check out a demonstration!

It’s not candy canes, per se… but speaking of hard candy, if you’re ever around Montréal you should check out http://candylabs.ca/

Ooh, I’m going to have to check that out. I work just a few miles away (in Claremont, CA).

I went thru a candy making phase a couple years ago and made candy canes, they were lots of fun cause they were not very consistent!

You won’t be disappointed… though your wallet might be!

That is some amazing stuff. I love how effortlessly they make it look. And how the edges line up perfectly every time!
