How to make the New Topics notifications last longer than a couple of days (the default) if you are missing new topics because you don’t visit the forum regularly:

I didn’t even know I could get updates from my posts. All I get are reply notices to personal messages.

Yeah there are a lot of settings in the Preferences that can be customized for anyone’s needs.
