Material thickness error engraving help

Does anyone know how to fix the material thickness error I had done engraving perfectly fine on an item and want to do it to an exact same item but it says material thickness error. Tray is not in

The surface of your material has to be within 0.5" above where the surface of the tray would be. You may just need to put something up to bring it a little higher.

If you are using the set focus tool, make sure it is landing on your design.

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve hit this snag!

As @geek2nurse and @dklgood mentioned, please ensure the material is within 0.5" above where the surface of the tray would be. I would also suggest utilizing Set Focus so that that the red laser dot hits the material and measures the height correctly.

Let me know if Set Focus helps with the error you are experiencing.
