Hey all! I am wanting to purchase materials with my gift card from glowforge and wanted to know what is the best material for painting? I want to mainly make ornaments! Thank you in advance!
I would say that if you are painting, probably Draftboard would be your best bet. All the other woods are covered with a semigloss finish that resists paint to some degree.

That’s what I was wondering It would be hard to paint over anything that is already sealed. I appreciate your response!

@cynd11 is right. The paint just kind of pools or bubbles with the sealed wood. You can paint it, it’s just harder and doesn’t come out as nice. Draftboard takes paint the best, and the leather paints well too with leather paints.
