Hey community. Healthcare workers are running out of face masks and shields. They are making them out of whatever they can get a hold of. Can we come up with a design and pattern and the right materials and start providing them to the health workers who need them? Please let’s make this happen.

So I apologize for the lack of detail but wanted to show what I was doing as it got the interest of a crafter friend on south Whidbey Island. She is focaling an effort where people are making medical masks from regular cotton fabric and then delivering them to a local hospital, clinics and nursing homes. These are not N95 equivalents but the pattern she posted on Facebook was approved by the hospital she is working with. …
There’s another 3D printable face mask (not shield) design available. This one uses material cut from vacuum cleaner HEPA bags for the filtration part.
