Okay, so maybe monstera leaf earrings have been overdone, but I haven’t seen any variegated ones, and I’ve been in an earring-making mood lately, so here they are. I’m not a monstera expert, but I’m calling them Thai Constellation, at least until an expert comes along and challenges me on it.
They’re cut from 1/8" Baltic birch, painted with acrylics, and finished with matte Polycrylic.
My son-in-law sells Baltic birch cut to Glowforge size and gives me all his scraps. He sells (literally) truckloads of it, so I need to stay in an earring mood for a LONG time!
Thanks! I set my photo box thingy up on the table my grandson plays on when he comes over, which sits right in front of the shelves I have a bunch of my plants sitting on, so the plant and everything else in the photo was just random stuff that was in reach. The little pallets are from a set of mini bricks and concrete blocks my son sent me last birthday. He knows I love tiny things, but I haven’t thought of anything to do with them yet, so my grandson uses them to build things, so they were under the table. And then the upright pallet kept wanting to fall over so I grabbed a rock from a little bin of polished rocks that he’d been playing with too, and added a few more to balance things, and it all just sort of fell into place.
I LOVE these! And I agree, you have a good eye to set up such a lovely display. I can’t throw things away either. My husband threatens to throw it all away if I die first, so I have to make sure to outlive him. By natural means, not by my hand!
