That is designed to come off, but it shouldn’t do it on it’s own…unless maybe it hit something that was too high? (Don’t know - you might have to check it over.)

Thanks for posting that video. As @jfruhling mentioned, it appears that the air assist fan located by your printer head needs to be checked.
Even though you mentioned finding a link to cleaning instructions in another thread, I’ve included our current steps just in case something has changed. Could you please try these steps?
Turn off your Glowforge
Open the front door and carefully remove the crumb tray
Remove the printer head
Holding only the finished black surfaces, grasp the printer hea…
