Working on an art piece and game that is about 7’ x 5’. I have the guide marks showing a 19x11 board that will fit in my Pro. I can also do a feed if I can figure it out. I need to cut out the greens, sand traps, and not sure how I will do the fairways. I need it to be smooth enough to slide something around without hitting seams.
Unless you need it to be easily moveable, I might suggest ordering a piece of 7’x5’ clear acrylic to lay over the top once all the pieces are in place. Guaranteed nothing to catch edges.
Good idea, I didn’t think about that. I will have some trees I will be putting in as obstacles. I was thinking about getting someone with a large wood CNC to cut out the dark green and then using blue epoxy for the water.
How to approach this depends on the kind of finish that you want. If solid colors are OK it’s a lot easier than if you want stained wood grain. If your Passthrough works well this would be a great use for it, whatever the finish needs to be, so I would start by investigating that.
If you use 20 x 48 material(colored plywood) or 19 x 48 acrylic (a 4’x8’ sheet divided by 5… You should be able to get most of it out in single pieces.
