My designs never makes it past the servers to print. It just says “calculating precision movement”.
I can print a Glowforge made file in seconds, but not my own SVG files. They worked yesterday, but last night they stopped.
Why can a Glowforge made file get ready to print, but never my own? After about 30 minutes I get a printer stopped message.
Yes I’ve restarted the computer, my Glowforge and my wifi several times in the troubleshooting process.
Sounds like there’s an issue in your SVG that’s not allowing the laser to figure out how it’s supposed to work.
Would you be willing to upload one here (zip it if there are any raster portions) and someone else can see if they have the same issue in their system, and likely be able to determine what’s causing it.
I broke up all the files to 10-15m sections and it worked out ok. When I put them all together into something larger with many of these files it never sends to server.
Each of those birds is made up of multiple paths with hundreds of nodes, when all the black parts could be rasterized to a single image that’d probably process in seconds, if you just want to get this done.
