No glow, but the print head moves

I love my Glowforge - His name is Goerge.
He’s not working, though.

Scans, calibrates, print head moves, but no laser magic!

Please, tell me what to do.

I have:
Turned him off and let him rest
Cleaned his bits - mirrors and such.
I have cajoled and implored - no luck.

George is fine! His Mum needs to take another tutorial on inkscape so she doesn’t bury the text layer.
