I was using plywood but it was cutting smoothly through sections and massive sections were barely cut. Not an adhesive issue it just seems have have lost power in the middle
If you see little candle flames, where those flames show up it will not cut through. If some crud has landed on a window on the left side of the gantry or head, you will also see a decrease in power. Depending on the source, the material can be quite variable also. Magnets can also mess up cutting.
What is extremely rare is a machine deciding to change how it works because of an emotional reaction. Without any photos to provide more data it is very hard to help.
Likely voids in your plywood. You can see them if you hold up a flashlight to the backside.
most likely you have patched voids in the plywood. very bright flashlight as @deirdrebeth mentioned will reveal those. and you can mark where they are to work around them.
not all plywood is the same.
One tip that helped me avoid inconsistent cuts was using my palm to gently press down on different areas of the material placed on the printer bed. If you notice any give in those spots, the material is not fully level, which makes it harder to cut completely through the material. Noting those areas along with any voids found can be used when placing and adjusting designs.
I appreciate but no it was not voids. The laser looses power through the cuts. Just tried on thinner wood same plywood but half the width it engraved then chose not to do the cuts just stopped. Yes the pattern was directly over the wood had to restart this is exhausting
Without pictures or more informatoin we’re not going to be able to help.
Have you checked your window?
Are you using magnets?
Have you checked the plywood?
Have you done anything we’ve suggested so far?
One thing we have seen frequently is having the machine cut easily on the left but seeming to be weak cutting on the right. If it does this right out of the box it is shipping damage and the laser no longer aims at the window center except when the head is far to the left, but that tiny angle off can have it burning the side of the head by the time the head reaches the right.
If it was doing well before but getting more extreme over time then the beam is getting blurry. There is not much spread on the left but it can be a fuzzball of beam by the time it gets to the right. This is caused by only one thing. As the beam leaves the window that hides under the far left side of the gantry, it gets blurred. Any smoke particals bumping into that window when the beam is on can get welded on. Even so few particals that you can barely see them will have an affect on the right. If let go very bad it can even damage the window so it need to be replaced. Luckly you can buy just the window and replace it yourself.
Here is a photo of it:
