have you tried running a dowel or other object through the melted material while it’s still melted, like you would if you were making a marble cake? it might make interesting patterns if you swirl it like that.

I was talking with my local Print shop the other day, and it was also suggested making a mold for “hot glue stick” sized prints, I’m gonna give it a try, because that would be a real cool way of recycling and repairing failed or partially failed prints

Check out keithdecent.com and his silicone mats. There are 3 sizes that have molds for all sorts of useful things like scrapers, paint triangles, corner brackets, etc.

They’re designed for reusing leftover epoxy resin but if your melt is less than 400 degrees they should be okay for recycling filament.
