Hi. I searched for a bit but most suggestions were to use to set focus feature before dragging my image. I have tried that but for some reason everything is always off center by about 1/4”. I’m trying to engrave on a 3” round so centering is kind of critical right now.
Never happened before. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it! I replied with some photos to explain what I was talking about.
Thanks in advance.
I’m wondering if it might have something to do with the thickness of your material, but I would try this:
• Add a 3" circle to your artwork as another element, and center your original artwork in it as desired
• Put masking tape down on the crumb tray
• Set the artwork to “Ignore” and the circle to “Score”
• Do a print
• Place your material inside the circle you just scored into the tape
• Set the circle to “Ignore” and try your print again. It SHOULD be centered.
Without moving anything.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will give that a try now and see how it goes.
If you are using the camera to line up art on a small object, make sure it is right under the camera in the center of the tray.
You can also put masking tape on your object and use very low power to draw a circle on the tape, to make sure you are lined up before you do the real engrave. If you are off target you can edit the text location coordinates to nudge the artwork.
