I would assume they just get filed under G, being a composite product i would imagine they wouldn’t be recyclable.

Will depend greatly on your local codes / ordinances how your used filters cartridge should be disposed. So best to check.
In general, and unfortunately, carbon filters and HEPA filters are approved landfills, and that’s were they go.

It’s in the manual - trash it.
They technically could be recycled, but the labor involved makes it prohibitive.
THAT SAID - if I had a filter, I’d be inclined to try this:
