On Wisconsin! LED Standoff Layered Art

I used the same technique as I did with the maps using the LED standoffs. I didn’t take pics during the build process, unfortunately.

LED Standoff Edge Lit Bathymetric Map

Got a commission to do a local lake as a bathymetric map, and decided to try adding some light to it. I used blue LED stand-offs from outwater. I think the map looks great without the LED’s turned on, but it is better than I imagined with them on. Was originally going to put a frame around it to hide the layers, but kinda like the blue layer showing when it’s turned on. Might have to make a map for me using this technique. Another Edge-lit Bathymetric Map

My last map was a commission, and they absolutely loved it. I decided to create another, and this will be donated to a fundraiser for a YMCA Summer Camp in Northern Wisconsin. I’ve done iterations of this lake before, but added more lake levels and the illuminated LED standoffs. This time I tried white LED’s versus blue.
